Way too expensive, terrible communication. Paying money to them to burn a bunch of energy collecting scraps then use more energy to process the scraps, seems more wasteful than throwing it away.

Highly recommend Green Box Compost! We're moving away from the area and will miss it so much but Green Box box made composting so easy and convenient that it inspired us to find a new compost service in Massachusetts to subscribe to right away. It is such an easy way to keep food waste out of the landfill and as an added bonus made it so that we never had fruit flies in the kitchen anymore or smelly trash even in the heat of summer! Also Green Box is wonderful with communication, flexible for being able to skip a compost pickup whenever you need to, and very kind and friendly. Thank you Green Box and wish you all the best, happy composting everyone!

GreenBox is a terrific company! Every two weeks I give them all my table scraps, including bones, even my egg cartons and stained pizza cardboard, and off it all goes to make soil. The pails are amply-sized, and when a full pail is picked up, a spiffy clean one is left in its place. Their customer service is excellent!

Loving Greenbox so far. They’ve never once missed a pickup, and the replacement boxes are always clean. Being able to set up text reminders and skip pickups if needed are both super helpful perks. They make it so easy that I can’t imagine not composting anymore. On the handful of occasions that I’ve run into a driver, they’ve always been very friendly. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service for the area! I enlisted their services right when i moved to town as sustainable living is very important to me. For a super reasonable price this company provides convenient and consistent pickups, clear communication, and even shows you how much waste you have diverted from the landfill. Plus, they hook you up with finished compost each year you are a member. Anytime I've missed my pickups, they have been able to schedule a makeup and I have had nothing but positive interactions with their staff. Highly recommend!

It’s so easy I love it. Honestly I was suspect because I’ve tried composting on my own and it was totally fine, but ultimately I stopped because of various difficulties of managing the waste in my own yard. I’m so happy to be doing it again without actually having to think about it much. I’m also able to compost WAY more variety (like dairy, meat, bread) than I was before. I’m impressed with the little counter box that actually doesn’t smell or get bugs like old boxes did. PLUS they take cardboard which saves us room in our tiny recycling bin 🤩. Kinda surprised by how much I love composting this way, but it’s the best. Definitely try this, even if you’ve tried composting before!
