
We have used it for years on an annual billing cycle. This year we decided to start our own compost pile in our yard since it seemed perhaps better to avoid the pollution the truck driving around creates. Notified then the 2nd week of January we wanted to cancel and they said we have to pay the entire next 12 months. Disappointing.
Greatly appreciate this service. Have been able to divert hundreds of pounds of waste from the landfill.
While I greatly appreciate the services compost crusader provides to the Milwaukee area considering that there are no other options, this service is continually difficult to work with when needing to change anything on file or move to a new house. This company seems like it needs a lot more support through more staffing/funding, as side services such as just cleaning the bin can get really expensive, and pickups cannot be done as regularly due to staffing shortages.

Charged $18.50 for a bag of compost that blue ribbon organics sells for $10. Same size. Next time I'll be going directly to the source. They do have buckets for $7 which is a good deal but I did not bring a bucket so I was not able to take advantage of that.
Super responsive. Excellent, easy-to-use web site. Communication is superb. While I don't use compost, they let me do my part by contributing. I love that I can "skip" a pickup in advance if not needed to avoid unnecessary waste/emissions driving to my location when not needed.
I really want to love this service and will absolutely change my review if warranted, however they do not deliver on the services promised when signing up. First, the website states they will pick up every week in the warmer months (April through November) and every other week in the winter months. Since April we have only received service ever other week. We were given the opportunity to put an extra bag out with our bins in May without a guarantee they will continue to pick up another bag, even though we are still on bi-weekly service. Add to that, the schedule for pickup is never followed. Last minute emails are sent to tell the customer that the pickup date has changed. If you miss the email you are left waiting two more weeks for pickup. I'm happy to support this type of service but also feel as though services should meet what was advertised. Compost Crusaders, bring me back to a 5 star customer!
